Kareena Kapoor, nicknamed "Bebo" (born September 21, 1980 in Mumbai, India) is a Bollywood actress. She is part of the Kapoor family.
Family background
Kareena Kapoor
is the daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita, who divorced when she was still young. Rishi Kapoor is one of her uncles. Her sister, Karisma Kapoor, is also an actress. Her other relatives include maternal aunt Sadhana, and cousins Shivani Kapoor, Ranbir Kapoor and Nikhil Nanda who is currently married to Shweta Bachchan-Nanda who is the daughter of Amitabh Bachchan.Her boyfriend is shahid

Early life
When she was younger she would frequently accompany her sister to film shoots. Though born into a film family, Kareena at first wanted to become a lawyer. She attended Jamnabai Narsee School in Mumbai and then went to Welham Girl's Boarding School in Dehradun. She returned to Mumbai to attend Mithibai College where she did her commerce. She is currently on the Rockstar tour and in the meantime, the actress is the confidente to cousin Rupa Vachaspati (a recent winner of Miss Teen World). Rupa is fourteen and lives in Tennessee. She is a model, actress, and singer with her new movie (Love and Hate You) and her debut (Why Love?) Rupa is currently dating Vanished star Dustin Milligan (21). Rupa is planning on dancing to Bollywood remixes. She has not yet signed with any director, though there are rumors that she will sign with Boney Kapoor on his new movie, !Shaadi Hai Dhamaka. Kareena commends her cousin saying, "Rupa is a very hard worker who at a very young age is fully dedicated to her future career in Bollywood." She went to Harvard for summer school and while she was there she took a course in microcomputers and information technology. Set on pursuing an acting career, she completed her twelth standard and joined the film industry [1]. She also attended the Kishore Namit Kapoor acting school.
Career
Kapoor
was supposed to make her debut opposite Hrithik Roshan in Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai but left the film. Her first movie was J. P. Dutta's 2000 film Refugee opposite Abhishek Bachchan. Though the film did not do well her performance was praised. She also received her first Filmfare Award in the Best Debut category. Her first major commercial success in a starring role was in the 2001 film Mujhe Kuch Kehna Hai, but it was films like Asoka and Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham that brought her critical acclaim.
She appeared in a fair number of movies after her prompt fame, but most of them didn't do well. She then starred in Chameli, the film failed but she received good reviews for her performance of a prostitute. Kareena then had two commercial successes in the form of Aitraaz and Hulchul, and good performances in Yuva [1], Dev [2], and Fida [3] (her first negative role).
Her releases 36 China Town [4] and Chup Chup Ke [5] were moderately successful. She recently received good reviews for her performance in Omkara (2006), the Indian adaptation of
