Priyanka Chopra born July 18, 1982 is a Bollywood film actress and Miss World 2000.
Background
Chopra was born in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, India to Ashok and Madhu Chopra, both doctors. She spent part of her childhood in Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh but since her father was in the army, her family frequently traveled. She studied at La Martiniere Girls Hostel in Lucknow, as a young girl and later came to the United States, where she was an excellent student at Newton North High School, in Newton, Massachusetts and John F. Kennedy High School (Cedar Rapids) in Iowa. She finished 12th standard in Bareilly. She began college at Jai Hind College in Mumbai but left after winning the Miss World pageant.

She was first Miss India World and later Miss World in the year 2000 (the same year that Lara Dutta, who is also from India, won Miss Universe). [1]
Bollywood
After winning the Miss World title,
Priyanka became an actress in Bollywood she first acted in Tamil film Thamizhan (2002) co starring with Vijay. She appeared in several successful films, such as The Hero: Love Story of a Spy (2003), Andaaz (2003), Mujhse Shaadi Karogi (2004), Aitraaz (2004), Waqt: The Race Against Time (2005), Bluffmaster (2005), and recently in Krrish (2006). She is also 5' 10 tall. Priyanka Chopra also won the Ebay India Style Diva of 2006 in which over two million fans from across the world voted for her. Recently she has beaten Aishwarya Rai among other bollywood stars when she was selected as the sexiest Asian Woman of 2006 in a poll conducted by a renowned magazine. Besides Priyanka, who topped, there are five other Bollywood beauties who have found their place in the top ten are Bipasha Basu, Aishwarya Rai, Mallika Sherawat, Riya Sen and Malaika Arora

In an interview which is included in the August 7, 2006 issue of the weekly magazine, Outlook India, Chopra said in response to a question about being considered for the role of Wonder Woman, "We're all left to 'wonder' if I'll be the 'woman'!" [2]
In 2006, Chopra was featured as one of Maxim Online's top ten "Bollywood Babes," coming in at #3. [1] Chopra also graced the cover of Maxim magazine's first issue in India.
