Khwaja Haider Ali 'Aatish' was
born in 1778 in Faizabad. He died in 1846 in Lucknow. His poems are compiled
under 'Deewan-e-Aatish'. Aatish belonged to the classical Lucknow school of
Urdu poetry. He was one of the desciples of Ghulam Hamadani Mushafi. Some of
his verses, like the above ones, have become cliches in Urdu language.
